The Presidium ARI is a handheld diamond tester that distinguishes colorless natural type of diamonds, from potential lab grown diamonds (CVD/HPHT grown diamonds) and a wide range of moissanites through UV reflectivity.
Through advanced proprietary technology, ARI measures the UV light absorbance ability of diamonds and moissanite. With its touch screen colour LCD display, ARI provides a clear and accurate result of "Diamond", "CVD/HPHT/Type IIa" and "Moissanite" within 3 seconds.

Important note:
The technology of the ARI is not suitable for zirconia or cubic zirconia and in these cases delivers the result ´diamond´. The Presidium Diamondmate-A (14-203) can help, as it can identify cubic zirconia and colourless sapphire. So test the stone in question with the Diamondmate-A to make sure that it really is a diamond.
If the tester has now identified the stone as a ´diamond´, it means that the stone is either a natural diamond, or a lab-grown diamond, or else a moissanite.
